We are grateful to Douglas McNaught, former Naval architect at Campbeltown Shipyard, for sharing some of his archive with us. This archive entry is a document with the specification for a 33.5 metre well boat which was built as the Solea (Yard No. 85), for Golden Produce of Connel, Argyll in 1989.
The document describes the Solea as a well boat although the intention was generic to attract cargo boat owners as well as fish transporters.
