We are grateful to Ronnie Young of Shetland for this article about the Campbeltown-built Steadfast IV FR 433 (Yard No. 100). This was published in Fishing News on 17th December, 1997.
Steadfast IV was built for Alex West, Steadfast Fishing Company, Fraserburgh in 1996. She was the last fishing vessel to be built at Trench Point and was decommissioned in 2003. The scrapping of the Steadfast IV was featured in a documentary, ‘Gutted” by Tern TV, about the decommissioning of Scottish fishing boats.
