Shipyard earns double contract – article published in the Campbeltown Courier on 17th August, 1972. The article talks about two orders placed at Campbeltown Shipyard; one for James McPherson of Hopeman and another for James West of Fraserburgh. In the end the order from James West was cancelled and replaced by an order for J. Mair who later had the Fidelia PD 94 (Yard No.15) built at the yard. The boat that James McPherson had built was the Cavalier INS 109 (Yard No. 14) and was launched in 1973. Article courtesy of Campbeltown Library.
