RONNIE MCNALLY – BOATS OF THE YARD III

Ajax - photo courtesy of Ronnie McNally.

We are very grateful to Ronnie McNally, former Foreman Loftsman, at Campbeltown Shipyard for these photos. Ronnie put this collection together of around a 100 photos of boats that were built at the yard. They were displayed on the wall of the loft at the yard during the time that Ronnie worked there. This is the third of the batches –  we will be publishing more of them in due course, so look out for more here on the online archive. This set is missing Surmount (21) and Marden (29).

  1. Hi, was wondering if I could get a copy of the photograph or photographs you have of the Renown KY257.
My late father and uncle were the owners who built her, and this photo is probably the best one that exists. Never seen it before , but it’s great.

    • Hi Ian – thanks for getting in touch – I have a high resolution photo so can email that to you. We’d be really keen to hear more about your family and the Renown and to publish something about that on the website, if that would be ok? – Please email me CampbeltownShipyard@skdt.org
      Kind regards,
