We are grateful to Ronnie Young of Shetland for this article published in Fishing News on 29th September, 1989. The article talks about how an order from brothers Peter and Stephen Bruce, of Peterhead, saved the 83-strong workforce at the yard from the threat of redundancy. The Bruces’ boat, the Budding Rose, is still successfully fishing today.
